Blue Flag


The Blue Flag is an ecological label (eco-label) that is voluntarily assigned to seaside resorts that meet criteria related to sustainable land management.
The “Blue Flag” Program is carried out by the non-governmental and non-profit organization “Foundation for Environmental Education” (FEE). It has been operating in Europe since 1987 and its main objective is to promote sustainable management of the territory in the coastal municipalities through a series of indications that underlie policy choices, attention and care for the environment.
The Blue Flag Program, International Eco-label for the certification of the environmental quality of the coastal resorts has established itself and is currently recognized all over the world, tourists and tour operators, as a valid eco-label for sustainable tourism in the locality marine and lake tourism.
